PLAYER REGO'S:
Teams can register & play up to 16 players.
Player registration forms must be submitted 19th Oct. However you have up until 3 November 2025 to make any changes to your team list. You can do this by referring to the email that you will receive upon submitting the player registration form and click 'EDIT RESPONSE'.
Children under 12yrs old cannot play in this competition. There are junior modules available that cater to this age group which you can find at www.waikatotouch.co.nz
Players can play for ONE TEAM ONLY! If players are caught playing for more than one team, points will be deducted from all teams that the player played a game for. Points will also be deducted from teams that are caught playing unregistered players.
NOMINATED REFEREE:
All teams MUST put forward a valid nominated referee who will be called from time to time to referee.
Training can be arranged upon the request of the nominated referee to kiaora@trcsport.co.nz
TRC Sport will do their best to supply qualified referees each week.
MODULE REFEREE:

GRADING:
Teams will be graded over the first 2 weeks.
Teams will be divided into 2 grades.
POINTS:
Win = 3 points
Draw = 2 points
Loss = 1 point
Default (notice provided) = 0 to defaulting team and 3 points to the opposition
Default (no notice provided) = 0 to defaulting team and 5 points to the opposition
UNIFORM:
All team members on the field must be wearing a numbered playing top of uniform colour and shorts on/above the knees.
NO track pants, jeans, skins, under-garments such as hoodies or t.shirts allowed under playing uniforms.
Soft shoes, road shoes or touch shoes must be worn. NO sprigs, spikes or bare feet allowed.
Points will be deducted for incorrect uniforms.
Exemptions will be considered for those that have a medical condition which requires them to wear specific apparel under their playing uniform. However you MUST submit a request in writing to kiaora@trcsport.co.nz providing your name, team name, playing number and evidence of medical condition.
DEFAULTS:
If your team wishes to default a game please notify us at the earliest point of time possible by emailing kiaora@trcsport.co.nz with a valid reason so we can inform your opposition.
The game will be scored 3-0 to the opposition team who are also welcome to pick up their Player of the Day voucher.
If notice isn’t provided by 12pm the day of module games or you simply do not show up to play, your game will be scored 5-0 to the opposition team.
SCORE PROTEST:
If you wish to oppose or dispute the final score, the team manager must NOT sign the scorecard. Once the card is signed, the score is deemed final and no protest can be made.
If there is a disagreement, come to HQ immediately after the game before leaving the field, outlining the following information:

Opposing team
Field number
Referee name (if known)
The score you believe is correct
Evidence (e.g., photo of scorecard, confirmation from timekeeper, etc.)
Score disputes will be reviewed promptly to ensure accuracy before the next playing night.
FORMAL COMPLAINTS:
If you wish to make a formal complaint about an opposing team, a referee, or the module itself, the team manager MUST email kiaora@trcsport.co.nz within 12 hours of the match.

GRADING:
Teams will be graded over the first 3 rounds. 1 point will be awarded for tries scored by both male and female in the grading rounds only.
Teams will be divided evenly into each grade. As much as we try to keep you in your preferred grade please bear in mind that it does not always work out like this. We need to ensure that teams are placed accordingly so it is fair across the module. Therefore we ask that you please do not try and purposely lose your games during grading.
Please note that if your team has rep players, you will automatically be placed in A or B grade.
REPRESENTATIVE RULES:
REP PLAYERS = any person who has participated at Youth Nationals, Opens Nationals, or an international equivalent in the last two years (2023–present) are classed as representative players.
A = no limit of rep players
B = up to 3 reps only
C = no reps allowed
D = no reps allowed
If B grade teams play more than 3 rep players or C and D grades play rep players, points will be deducted.
MIXED RULES:
A maximum number of males allowed on the field is three (3). The minimum male requirement on the field in one (1).
Although a team consists of sixteen (16) players a minimum of four (4) players is required for the match to start.
TOUCHDOWNS: Please note the change in our points system from grading to competition rounds
Grading Games = 1pt for both male and female in ALL grading games.
Round robin = 1pt for both male and females in A grade. 1pt for males and 2pts for females in B, C and D grades.
